CCSU GEOGRAPHY: One-year Faculty Position The Department of Geography at the Central Connecticut State University invites applications for a one-year faculty position at the rank of an assistant professor beginning in August, 2009. A Ph.D. in Geography is preferred, ABD will be considered. We seek someone who excels in undergraduate teaching and is able to teach introductory and advanced Geographic Information Sciences and other introductory level geography courses. The courses to be taught for Fall 2009 are Geog 120 World Regional Geography (40 students), two sections of Geog 220 Human Geography (40 students each section), and one section of introduction to GISciences. The Department anticipates advertising for a tenure-track position in GIS in the near future.
