GIS SPECIALIST - ASSOCIATE

Associate, GIS Specialist sought by ARD, Inc, (Burlington, VT) Provide 
geospatial expertise in multiple int'l dvlpmt projects. Apply GIS from mobile 
thru server configurations. Engage in proactive verbal & written outreach to 
clients & colleagues within & outside US. Resp for support applic & continued 
expansion of GIS activities across our bus. Sectors, viz., Envrmt & Natural 
Resource (ENR), Agriculture, Democracy & Governance, Water Resources & 
Infrastructure, Info & Knowl Mgmt Services, Land Tenure & Property Rights & 
Economic Growth.

Essential Qualifications: Use GIS/image processing s/ware packages incl ESRI 
ArcGIS product suite & other, non-spatial, d/base systems; Customize &/or dvlp 
GIS tools & web applics using ArcGIS Server or ArcGIS Engine or ArcIMS; Implmt 
FGDC Metadata stds within Professional Geo-d/base; Contribute tech knowl & 
skills, in addition to his/her GIS & related skills, to 1 or more of following 
sectors:
Envrmt & Natural Resource (ENR), Agriculture, Democracy & Governance, Water 
Resources & Infrastructure, Information & Knowl Management Services. Engage in 
spatial planning & mgmt, as well as spatial data analysis; Must write, dvlp & 
sell proposals for applic of GIS; Overseas travel, (short- & medium-term 
assignments) reqd 25%-30% of time; Must process multiple projects w/ competing 
deadlines & complete same within reqd client timeframes; Must make written & 
verbal presentations to mgrs, clients & colleagues in connection w/ projects. 
Must have proof of legal authorization to work in U.S.
