Xanthippe Augerot

Dr. Xanthippe (Xan) Augerot spent the past seven years with the Wild Salmon Center, a non-profit environmental group in Portland, Oregon. She helped grow and develop the Center from a three-person conservation group focused on Kamchatka steelhead conservation to a 30-plus person organization active in Japan, Russia, Canada and the United States.  While with the Wild Salmon Center, Xan collaborated with colleagues to produce the Atlas of Pacific Salmon (UC Press,
2005). Xan is now consulting with Pangaea Environmental, LLC.  She holds a B.A. in Economics (1982) and a Masters in Marine Affairs (1987) from the University of Washington, and a Ph.D. in geography from the Oregon State University Geosciences Department (2000).  She lives with her family in Corvallis, Oregon.
